Elevation Recruitment Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with a growing practice in Rotherham, currently seeking an experienced Semi Senior to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client bookkeeping efficiently
  • Oversee and take ownership of your own portfolio of clients
  • Prepare complex financial statements for companies
  • Compile interim management accounts
  • Complete personal tax returns
  • Prepare accounts and returns for partnerships
  • Review and submit quarterly VAT returns
  • Handle VAT registrations and deregistration
  • Attend client meetings, interacting with directors and business owners
  • Handle company secretarial duties
  • Work within set budgets to meet monthly targets
  • Assist with other general accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Previous experience in an accounting practice
  • Proficient in either Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks or Iris
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Sage Business Cloud (advantageous)
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Strong record-keeping skills
