Children's Advanced Practitioner

Rate: £35 per hour
A Children's Senior Social Worker/Advanced Practitioner is required for the Advice & Duty Service (MASH team) in Blackburn.
Blackburn with Darwen Children's Services require 2 agency social workers as soon as possible to cover in its Children's Advice and Duty Service (previously known as MASH) - one full time post 5 days per week and one post for 4 days per week for 3 months initially. There will be no flexibility on the number of days of work.
The candidate must be at least 2 years post ASYE and have experience in frontline social work in a local authority with 5 years continuous references available and a current, valid DBS enhanced check in place.
You will be office-based part of the week for 3 days and there is hybrid working in place. There is subsidised car parking close by in a central town location with proximity to main road networks and working across a 10-mile radius approx in Blackburn and Darwen.

- DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
- Social Work England registration
- Post qualification experience
- Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
- Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
- One year minimum post qualified experience in Children's Social Work
- Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
- Possess knowledge of service needs.
- Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
- Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
- Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
