The Role
As a team member in this role, you will collaborate to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of technical audits and other accountancy services. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting Seniors on Larger Assignments:
- Complete tasks to the required standard as allocated by seniors.
- Receive and discuss feedback with seniors, applying learnings to future tasks.
Managing Smaller Assignments:
- Complete assignments for managers and supervisors to the required level.
- Delegate tasks to new trainees and provide ongoing feedback.
- Serve as a role model for new trainees.
Passing Professional Exams:
- Meet all set deadlines and requirements.
- Adhere to the Rouse Partners LLP training policy.
- Consistently achieve study results above the class average.
- Complete the Initial Professional Development Programme or other relevant work experience requirements on time.
Other Responsibilities:
- Submit timesheets within set deadlines.
- Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring confidentiality.
- Support seniors and report to supervisors and managers.
- Delegate work to new trainees.
- Assist clients with planning and completing assignments.
Essential Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will be well-organized, able to meet agreed timelines, and capable of engaging actively with clients. You will possess:
- Proven experience in audit and accounts within a practice.
- Progress towards ACA (Professional Stage) qualification.
- Technical proficiency in audit with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong team management skills.
- Excellent communication and advisory skills, confident in working with senior management.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Effective use of IT, including Excel, audit and accounts packages (CCH Accounts Production, CCH Audit Automation), Outlook, and CCH Practice Management.
- High professional standards of conduct and practice.
- Awareness of changes in ICAEW guidelines and internal systems.
- Commitment to concentrated exam study and consistent performance in link tests.
- Knowledge of Rouse Partners, industry, markets, and core client base, identifying potential business opportunities for the line manager.
- Efficient time management and organizational skills.
- Ownership of assignments, ensuring quality work within provided plans.
- Demonstrable experience in a senior audit and accounts role within an accountancy firm.
- Communication of budgets and timescales to junior team members.
- Technical skills to analyze situations and suggest changes.
