Our client design high precision manual cutting machines for specialist tasks, developing innovative ideas that speed up customers workflow and increase productivity. Their primary focus is always on customer safety. The cutters are engineered to protect their customers whilst cutting the toughest materials. Full training will be given.
The role
As a machine operator, you will be in the machine shop using the CNC machines to produce high quality components ready for the products for client orders.
Key accountabilities
- Daily activities include operating CNC mills and lathe to produce high quality components.
- Undertaking quality checks.
- Undertake required daily TPM activities.
- Actively contributing to, and participating in, continuous improvement initiatives.
- As a team member responsible for meeting all health and safety procedures and processes.
- Undertake training as required.
Skills & experience
- Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Good knowledge of Fanuc control systems and previously worked with Haas CNC's would be an advantage.
- Will demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in your work with excellent standards of timekeeping and attendance.
- Eager to learn new skills and embrace change.
- Mechanically minded and understand technical/engineering drawings would be advantage.
- Demonstrate the ability to be able to work with multiple hand tools, pillar drills & belt driven sanders.
- Work as a fully flexible team member within the company to maximize levels of productivity.
- Good level of spoken and written English required.
- Team player with a can-do attitude.
- Self-motivated to work alone or within a team.
