Electrical Shift Leader

Are you an experienced and driven Electrical maintenance professional seeking an exciting leadership role?

My market leading, FM client are hiring a lead electrical shift maintenance engineer to join their team, focusing on large static, critical site in the City of London postcode . This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about maintenance and are looking for an opportunity to progress in FM.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.
  • Lead a team of engineers on shift
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, implementing timely and effective solutions to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities to extend the lifespan of electrical equipment and systems, including: UPS, transformers, Circuit breakers, distribution boards/panels and HVAC power supply.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to carry out electrical projects, upgrades, and minor installation works
  • Stay current with industry standards, codes, and regulations, ensuring compliance in all electrical maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and service reports.
  • Requirements:
  • NVQ / C&G Level 3 in electrical installation and/or Level 3 electrical apprenticeship
  • LV/HV Authorised Person desirable
  • 17th or 18th edition
  • Proven experience as a Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer in building services (commercial offices, hospitals, or critical environment preferable)
