Position: Reception/Year 1 Mixed Class Teacher

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary

The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and creative Reception/Year 1 Teacher to join our school in December 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. You will work closely with our supportive team of staff, parents, and carers to ensure that each child in your class receives the best possible start to their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of both Reception and Year 1 pupils.
  • Create a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to both pupils and parents.
  • Support the social and emotional development of each child in your care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression in the curriculum.
  • Engage with parents and carers, fostering strong home-school partnerships.
  • Participate in school-wide activities and contribute to the school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Early Years and/or Key Stage 1 is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching young children.
