Job Title: Assessment and Attainment Officer

Location: East London

Contract Details: Temporary, 6-month contract

PAYE: £20.29 - £22.19 p/h

Umbrella £26 p/h Approx

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage a caseload of housing applications from applicants with high needs
  • Provide guidance and support to high need housing applicants on various housing options
  • Develop individual re-housing strategies and collaborate with advocates and other professionals
  • Conduct comprehensive home visits to assess circumstances and provide housing options advice
  • Enhance rehousing prospects by taking appropriate cases to the Management Panel
  • Act as the key point of liaison for other agencies involved in the cases

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Knowledge of the legislative and policy framework within the lettings service
  • Familiarity with housing options and relevant housing legislation
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and numeric reasoning skills
  • Experience engaging with colleagues, the public, partner agencies, and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven and problem-solving environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Previous experience in allocations/lettings service and knowledge of current legislation and best practises
  • Experience managing complex casework and working with vulnerable households
  • Proficiency in using a variety of ICT systems

Technologies:

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in ICT systems and reporting
