Senior Business Development Manager (Financial Services) - Forward-Thinking Law Firm

Based in either London or Bristol, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and good humoured applicant with a positive outlook to join a fast paced, fast growing and forward-thinking law firm as a Senior Business Development Manager.

The Business Development & Marketing team are instrumental in creating awareness of the firm's brand to identify and win new business opportunities as well as delivering for existing clients. This involves establishing and nurturing relationships and using everything from events to media relations to tenders to explore new business ideas. Enjoying highly flexible hybrid working arrangements and a broad and varied role, the Senior Business Development Manager will provide strategic guidance and hands-on BD and marketing support to the firm's award-winning Financial Service sector. You will work closely with the Head of Financial Services to help to grow the firm's revenue and reputation in this key sector and develop their outstanding client base. Reporting into the Head of Business Development, you will be directly supported by BD Executives and will work collaboratively with the wider Marketing and Business Development team. You will become a trusted advisor to partners and other stakeholders on all aspects of business development and will be responsible for developing client relationships, winning new business and raising the firm's profile. Managing annual BD budgets and providing BD and sales activity reports, you will manage a sales pipeline, running sales campaigns to create new business opportunities and developing compelling market propositions and solutions, including providing lawyers with engagement ideas and tools. Tasked with the design and implementation of BD and client plans, you will be expected to develop your own network of intermediaries, targets and client contacts and use these to support both lead generation and relationship building activity. Building relationships with leading financial services industry bodies will be a key area of focus and you will also support the Client Relationships team in managing key and sector growth clients. On the marketing side, the role holder will work with the Marketing & Communications team to develop campaigns positioning the firm as sector experts and support the promotion of the sector through the firm's website, social media channels, email marketing, PR and internal communications.

Enthusiastic, confident, proactive, persistent and robust, the ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with a proven track record working in business development and marketing ideally gained within another law firm, to include demonstrable success in running effective sales and marketing campaigns and helping organisations to grow their revenue and reputation. Highly-organised and commercially-minded with a client-centric ethic, the Senior Business Development Manager will possess outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills and will be able to communicate and present clearly, concisely and credibly. Excellent knowledge of the Financial Services sector and experience of working with major financial institutions will also be essential.
