Reed Education, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, are currently recruiting for a brand new Teaching Assistant role!

Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Leyland

Start Date: 2nd of September, 2024

Hourly Rate: £13.43 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week - 8:50am to 3:20pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid break

Role Type: Long-term, ongoing, temp-to-perm

Description: A Primary School in Leyland are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in a Year 3 class who has SEND. The child has ASD and has an EHCP in place from September 2024.

All applicants must have:

  • At minimum, a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of working within a Primary School setting and experience of working with SEN children
  • A positive and hard-working attitude

Within this role, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Assisting the class teacher
  • Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
  • Developing a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils
  • Monitoring pupils progress in reference with the school's practice
  • Demonstrating excellent behaviour management skills
