Management Accountant - New position due to promotion - Study Support Available
Nigel Wright are delighted to be supporting an established leisure organisation in recruiting a management accountant to join their Team. This management accountant role is an interactive position and will involve business partnering with multiple sites. This role has arisen due to promotion and will offer study support/development for the successful candidate. Those who are AAT qualified/Qualified by experience will also be considered for this position.
The Role
The duties of the Management Accountant will include:
- Annual Budget and quarterly forecast preparation for presentation, for multiple sites
- Regular visits to site
- Regular reviews and analysis sites
- Learn and implement areas for improvements and knowledge on reporting from a financial point of view,
- Monitoring of spend and performances of the business on a weekly, fiscal and annual basis
- Month end reporting and finalising of P&Ls, comparisons of actual figures to prior year and Budget, and consequential reporting to the group
- Assistance with some balance sheets
- Monitoring capital expenditure and payback projects, producing reports for review,
- Regular updating of reports and analysis
- Cost analysis to drive down costs and improve profitability
The Person
- At least part qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Confident user of Excel
- Experience of NetSuite and Power BI would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of working in the leisure industry or on multi sites accounts would be desirable.
- Strong communicator who enjoys engaging with other areas of the business
