We're searching for an ambitious Partnership Marketing Manager to develop and implement sponsorship activations with our strategic partners. You will drive demand generation, brand building and awareness, working closely with business leaders to create and roll out thought-provoking and engaging multi-channel partner marketing campaigns that measurably contribute to the pipeline.

Located in South Wales, this established company is the undisputed leader in a high-growth sector in the sports industry. Our client has two of the industry's two leading brands and they are regularly viewed by millions of fans via Sky Sports. The company is very successful and has a history of over 100 years. With staggering success in their market, our client is poised for greater global expansion.

This is a highly visible role across the company, working with senior technical, commercial and marketing stakeholders from partner organisations to build strong, productive relationships that drive co-marketing initiatives that drive customer acquisition and activation.

You should be highly experienced in activating sponsorships and have excellent account management skills, working with contacts up to the executive management level. You should be able to work independently, be performance-driven, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, delivering to tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also important, with any additional language skills being beneficial.

Responsibilities

Sponsorship Activation :

  • Manage the day-to-day account management of partners and stakeholders ensuring program success and maximising sponsorship value
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and execute sponsorship activation and campaign planning (program planning, campaign management, tactical execution, promotions)
  • Identify new opportunities for co-marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth
  • Manage the sponsorship deliverables of commercial contracts throughout their lifecycle
  • Coordinate all marketing aspects of the partnership, including the quality of materials and correspondences received by the partners, any day-to-day issues and accurate recording of partnership activities
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, other marketing areas and executive resources, to deliver robust integrated campaigns.

Player Sponsorship:

  • Mange the execution of player contract obligations to promote the brands and products
  • Act as the lead liaison for marketing initiatives and activations with pro players which may include content requirements, product development processes and third party relationship activations
  • Deliver a strong framework to manage the player responsibilities and demonstrate the value of these investments to the organization
  • Maintain a strong industry presence by supporting activations across the youth and player development programs

Sponsorship Acquisition:

  • Support the acquisition of professional player and commercial sponsorships, by assisting Senior Management with identifying, valuing and negotiating potential sponsorship opportunities
  • Drive joint go-to-market campaigns and launches of new partnerships to accelerate awareness and adoption of our collaborative solutions, integrations and relationships
  • Support the creation of communication materials for new partnerships, that align both brands through collaborative messaging.

Reporting and Governance:

  • Leverage consumer insights, business data and previous activity learnings to inform evidence-based decision-making
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for partner marketing initiatives and track campaign performance against established metrics
  • Analyze campaign data and provide insights to optimize future marketing efforts and maximize ROI.
  • Host quarterly/bi-annual marketing reviews with strategic partners, present campaign performance and ROI and make recommendations, ensuring action follow up.
  • Improve and apply processes and best practices to ensure program success and measure outcomes and share with key internal stakeholders.

Experience Needed

  • Detailed experience working in a Marketing or Partnership role, ideally within a sports-related environment (or similar).
  • Demonstrable experience working within a campaign-focused role and experience of campaign planning and sponsorship activation with multiple partners.
  • Ability to work with clients, partners, and teammates at all levels, establishing credibility and building trusted status.
  • Ability to nurture relationships within complex partners, at multiple levels.
  • Results-orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker, able to see opportunities and maximize these.
  • Educated to degree level or with proven commercial experience.
