Our client is a well-established business based in Wakefield who are looking for a new Finance Director to help drive forward change across the function. Working for a hands-off CFO, this is essentially a number 1 role - with the new Finance Director having full control of the function and P&L - with plenty of scope to make changes and shape the function.
This is a business that is looking for someone who work closely with the rest of the Senior Leadership team to maximise profitability and efficiencies across the business. Therefore, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate experience of having a tangible impact across a business - and someone who has a clear passion for business partnering.
The nature of the business demands that the Finance Director has a strong knowledge and experience in Asset Based Lending, as well as strong cash forecasting and working capital management experience. This is a broad role, and will need someone who is comfortable managing a large team.
This is a hands on environment, and the character of the Finance Director needs to reflect that. This will be an exciting challenge with plenty of potential to grow this business. The role will offer strategic support to the Chief Financial Officer and be a key part of the SLT.
Experience working within an owner managed business, PE backed business or autonomously run company would certainly be desireable - as would experience within construction, manufacturing or engineering.
