Attendance Officer
- Location: Loddon, near Norwich
- Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time plus one week (39 weeks)
- Salary: £20,802 (actual salary) - Full-time Pay Range: £24,294 to £25,979
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Start Date: As soon as possible
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Attendance Officer to join our Guidance Team at a high-performing school inear Norwich. The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting excellent attendance, reducing levels of absence, and engaging with students and families to enhance attendance and punctuality.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Actively promote and support excellent attendance among students.
- Implement strategies to effectively reduce levels of student absence.
- Engage with students and families to provide support and strategies for improving attendance and punctuality.
- Collaborate with the Guidance Team to meet and exceed attendance targets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records and generate reports as required.
- Participate in meetings and discussions related to student attendance and welfare.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Drivers licence and a car as you will have to do home visits
