We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team in this new role. You'll need to be a skilled communicator with a strong understanding of the education sector and a knack for writing about technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our media relations, developing communication strategies, and ensuring our messages are clear, consistent, and engaging.
Reporting to the Marketing Director you'll be a key part of our wider marketing and communications team and growth strategy. If you back yourself to generate the content and the engagement you could be a great fit for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets. Draft and distribute press releases, pitch stories, and respond to media inquiries.
Content Creation: Develop and write high-quality content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and marketing materials. The focus is on thought leadership and data-led content.
Communication Strategy: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote our brand and initiatives.
Internal Communications: Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, create compelling stories, and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor media coverage and industry trends. Prepare research and reports on communication activities and their impact, generating thought-leadership content.
Community Management: Using your communication skills to get the most out of our online communities, driving UGC and engagement.
The right candidate would ideally have qualifications in communications, public relations or journalism and a good background in and understanding of the education sector. We're looking for an exceptional writer who can convey complex information with clarity, engaging an audience.
