Hays are delighted to be supporting a superb SME group of companies with a combined T/O of circa £120 million to recruit a divisional Financial Controller for one of the group companies with a T/O of circa £17 million. The company are based in lovely offices in South Birmingham and offer excellent hybrid working. The company work in a niche sector and are a mix of manufacturing and services.
Your new role
As Financial Controller you will report into the group Finance Director and lead a small team and be accountable to for the day-to-day control and finances for the division. You will also support the Managing Director with the strategy of the business from a finance perspective. This is a broad all-round A-Z role including month end management accounts, preparation of financial accounts, VAT, working with the external auditors. The role also has some commercial elements around contract review, pricing and analysis. This is an excellent role for an experienced FC or a Finance Manager looking for their next step.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully Qualified Accountant, ideally with some post-qualified experience. Consideration given to both Practice or industry-trained applicants who are happy with a hands-on all round role in a SME. You will also have the ability to lead a small team and be happy to travel once a week to a subsidiary site within the West Midlands.
