Finance Officer
Yate
£19 per hour (umbrella)
Full Time Contract (5 months)
Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Finance Officer in Yate. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.
The job:
- Ensure data received from other teams regarding decisions made is complete and accurate
- Ensure Finance spreadsheets are kept up to date with decisions made
- Support the team with Purchase Order requests, authorising invoices
- Liaise with Budget Holders and Service Managers
- Support budget setting process and year end functions
The candidate:
- Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or equivalent level of qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 4)
- A good understanding of finance systems (preferably Oracle) in a controlled environment and experience of working with standardised processes
- Previous experience working in a similar capacity for a local authority is desirable
- Strong Excel skills are essential
