Machine Operator

£34k - £36k DOE
Hours:
Monday to Friday, with 12-hour night shifts as required
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate the manipulator as required within the Forge department.
- Assist in pursuing site business objectives and maintaining high standards.
- Help with setting up and stripping down tooling in the press.
- Ensure the continuous production of quality parts to meet customer satisfaction and expectations.
- Continuously improve quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Be flexible in moving between work areas, working overtime, and adapting to shift changes to support the business.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
- Carry out housekeeping audits across the unit if required.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Assist with risk assessments and their reassessments.
- Monitor and assist with the implementation of safe systems of work.
- Comply with legislative requirements.
- Undertake daily forklift truck and crane checks.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience as a 360-machine operator.
- Experience working in an engineering environment and within a team.
- Knowledge and application of safe working practices.
- Knowledge and experience in quality systems and procedures.
- Good communication skills.
Certifications
- Current forklift licence.
- Previous experience with crane operation.
