JHE & Partners are recruiting exclusively on behalf of a successful and well-established manufacturer in Bradford, who are looking for a quality / compliance assistant on a permanent basis.
This is a newly created role working closely with the quality manager and the HSE manager with the purpose of maintaining quality, hygiene, ethical and other areas by means of checks, instructions, training and administration.
Duties include:
- Carrying out documented quality, hygiene and other compliance checks to an agreed frequency that may include spot checks and scheduled internal audits
- Administering required calibration, laundry, pest control, vending and safety service & repair requirements including contact with suppliers and purchasing & issuing of equipment (including Personal Protective Equipment)
- Issuing procedures, instructions, blank record forms and other necessary documents.
- Carrying out induction training, coordinating other relevant training and maintaining up to date quality, compliance & safety training records
- Liaising with suppliers for supplier assessment and maintaining supplier approval lists and data.
- Assisting in the investigation of quality, safety & environmental issues and the assessment of quality, hygiene, safety & environmental aspects of processes.
- Attending required meetings and recording and distributing meeting minutes where required.
- Participating in quality improvement projects.
Candidate specification:
- Internal Auditing to Quality Standards such as ISO9001 and/or BRCGS - Desirable
- HACCP Level 3 or 2 - Desirable
- Food Hygiene Level 2 or above - Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safety - Desirable
- 5 years working in Quality or Supervisory role in a Manufacturing or Commercial environment
- Good knowledge of the principles of Quality, Food Hygiene standards and Safety.
Salary on offer looking in range of £35,000 - £40,000. Monday - Friday, 36 hours per week.
