Hiring for an Accounts Assistant role with a hospitality business with central Edinburgh office location with good transport links and parking options. This firm has a strong presence across greater Edinburgh area and has seen strong growth in the last 12 months, with expecting this to continue. The role has arisen due to this growth and increased workload within the Finance team.
You will be working on varied responsibilities with aspects of payroll, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, trial balance, and reporting. This role will take ownership of set parts of the business, and share the responsibilities with another Accounts Assistant. The team are a welcome and warm group of colleagues, with good company culture and low turnover. The role will require someone to be in the office 4-5 days a week, with most of the team being in daily.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with payroll, bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, trial balance
- Good communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team & collaborate
- Literate with MS Office, especially Excel
- Sage Accounts would be preferred
- Experience of working in an SME environment is strongly preferred
On offer
The company pays a competitive salary from £25,000-£30,000 (depending on the experience & skills you bring to the table). You will also receive standard pension and paid time off. Private health care from passing probation.
