Directed Local: 32.43hrs, 195 days on site, 1265 hours per year

Salary: Qualified Teachers – (T1) £35,125.00 to (T9) £51,758.00 per annum (depending on experience)

Unqualified Teachers - (UNQ1) £30,721.97 to (UNQ4) £33,173.60 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: Prince Regent Lane - East London

We have a vacancy for a full-time permanent Teacher of Foundation Learning. As a teacher of Foundation Learning your delivery will focus on some of the following according to your qualifications, experience and specialism:

  • Entry level preparation for adulthood and enterprise programmes
  • Functional Skills English and Maths
  • Level 1 employment and progression pathways
  • A broad range of GCSE subjects
  • Tutor up to three groups of students

The teams enjoy excellent resources with well-equipped classrooms and excellent ILT facilities.

Foundation Learning is a thriving programme area at NewVIc. General strengths of the teams are:

You will work within the Foundation Learning programme team whose manager has responsibility for leadership on all aspects relating to student learning, teaching, tutoring, staffing and other resources, assessment and curriculum development.

The Foundation Learning Manager will give you guidance and support in your work, and will take specific responsibility for your probationary review and appraisal.
