THE ROLE:

The Reality Labs team focuses on building the future of connection within Virtual, Augmented and Mixed reality.

We're currently seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate Designer - with a deep curiosity for technology to help define, deliver and maintain visual design systems and brand development across the Quest / VR Portfolio.

This person will need to bring strong conceptual craft, curiosity and creative problem solving to a fast-paced, often ambiguous, environment - thriving on variety and being comfortable pivoting between different design challenges.

You'll work closely with cross functional and multidisciplinary teams, playing an integral role in translating brand guidelines to help design/optimize/guide creative solutions for channels across an entire consumer journey (digital, print, social, retail, packaging, etc). You'll also serve as an advocate for brand solutions and design quality - using solid rationale and strong communication skills. Someone who can translate complex tasks into user-friendly solutions and be responsible for creating integrated solves that reflect where we are now and where we want to be in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Product Design, Retail, Producers, agencies, and external partnerships to understand requirements and develop/deliver/maintain design guidelines and creative solutions for the brand.
  • Work closely and effectively with Creative Directors, Design Leads and Designers across different locations and time zones.
  • Work with Program Managers to ensure timely and organized delivery of design solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams focused on customer journeys and experiences.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand design (agency and/or in-house).
  • Multidisciplinary background in brand identities/ design systems, coupled with experience of leveraging digital channels, retail/packaging, and emerging technologies.
  • Proficiency in graphic design, art direction, typography, photography, retouching, layouts & grids, and colour strategy.
  • Experience collaborating with external partners from conception to execution.
  • Proficiency in presenting and pitching creative concepts and ideas to senior leaders and internal/external partners.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc).
  • Systems thinking experience navigating complex matrices, managing stakeholders, and balancing enterprise-level considerations with attention to detail.
  • A link to an online portfolio showcasing your work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with VR hardware and software.
  • Experience marketing physical (hardware) products.
  • 8+ years of experience in brand design, either in an ad agency or in-house studio environment
  • Future-first mindset, and experience creating new platforms. This may include, but is not limited to: augmented, virtual or mixed reality, gaming, Web3, AI, NFTs, avatars, etc.
  • Fluent in Figma, inc. prototyping skills.
  • Technology industry experience
  • Experience pursuing emerging technologies
  • Experience with 3D software and After Effects (motion design and video editing)
