We're thrilled to present an opportunity for a dynamic and resilient Cover Supervisor to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Kirklees. Role Highlights:

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll be the crucial bridge that maintains classroom focus and engagement when regular teachers are unavailable. Working across different classes and subjects, you'll have the chance to develop your skills, gaining invaluable experience with students who benefit from a sensitive and consistent approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Classroom Management: Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students remain on task and complete assigned work.
  • Student Support: Engage and support students in their learning, understanding their individual needs and adapting as necessary.
  • Behaviour Management: Promote a calm, supportive atmosphere, and address any behavioural issues in line with school policies.
  • Lesson Assistance: Ensure all work set by the teacher is understood by students, providing any additional guidance as required.
  • Flexible Coverage: Be prepared to work across different subjects and year groups, fostering positive interactions with a range of students and staff members.
