Qualified Teacher of Visual Impairment

The role

We are looking for a qualified Teacher of Visual Impairment (QTVI) to join the Sensory Team within Southwark. This is a fixed term contact for 1 year.

The team outreach to all of the Southwark schools and settings, and support birth to five cases in homes and nurseries. The team provides excellent practice in provision to the pupils, mainstream teachers/support staff, special schools and other professionals including education and health, and children's families is essential.

About you:

The role of QTVI requires a highly skilled practitioner, working within the Sensory Team. You must be able to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team. You should be a qualified teacher of children and young people with visual impairment and be experienced in working with the full 0 - 25 age range across all ability levels. An ability to work independently and with high levels of efficiency and self-organisation is essential.

Additional details

Salary range is £58,500 - £63,745 per annum, pro-rata (Leadership spinal points L3-L7).

Part time, 4 days per week.
