Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role provides you the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office. Your base location will be one of our main offices, and providing you can get to the office 1-2 days a week, you could be based anywhere within the Anglian Water region, depending on your locations.

We have offices in Peterborough, Huntingdon, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Lincoln, Norwich, Colchester. There will be regular meetings in our Peterborough office.

Depending on experience, the successful applicant will be offered either a modeller role, senior modeller role or principal modeller role. They will join our Asset Intelligence Modelling Team and be a part of a modelling centre of excellence.

The challenges of AMP8 bring with them a wide variety of opportunities and work ranging from DWMP, System Plans, WINEP and UPM to named just a few. You will be part of a team of teams working with colleagues from across our business; from our Asset Planning team to identify and support the investment process to our Alliance delivery teams to design solutions. Working within our team, you will deliver technical excellence, develop, embed and drive efficiency, consistency, collaborative and innovative ways of working to provide first-class solutions to our customers, stakeholders and the Anglian Water business. You will either support or provide technical direction across the team and consultants delivering on our technical ethos and direction.

The role will be instrumental in sharing knowledge and challenging and contributing to our continuous improvement of standards, specifications and processes. The role will support a culture of collaboration and integration, providing exceptional service to our customers, stakeholders and the wider AW business.

What does it take to be a Principal Modeller?

To join us in our quest to consistently deliver modelling excellence to our customers, you'll possess extensive experience in Wastewater modelling. With a technical expertise of modelling tools and capabilities, you'll be able to bring complex information to life to a non-engineering audience through your strong communication and reporting skills.

You will be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or able to demonstrable relevant experience. Chartered or working towards chartership or accreditation with a professional body.

You will have a track record of providing technical and accountable leadership in the delivery of challenging complex, system based and strategic modelling projects across the asset management lifecycle with multiple stakeholder groups.

You will have experience of Infoworks ICM, InfoAsset, InfoDrainage, MapInfo or ArcGIS as well as a deep understanding of hydraulic principles.

You will be influencing business wide and industry stakeholders at all levels. Your role will be playing a big part in developing and advancing the industry's understanding and utilisation of network modelling methods and outputs.

Able to effectively work in a team and champion collaboration, you'll feel comfortable integrating into a range of teams to share your knowledge and expertise to reach 'win-win' solutions. You will be able to professionally challenge the status quo, put forward innovative solutions and initiate change
