Cedar is partnering with a rapidly expanding, private equity-backed SaaS business to secure an Interim Financial Controller. Based in the City of London, this 3 to 6-month role offers a competitive day rate of £650-750 and the opportunity to lead a high-performing finance team during a period of transformational growth. The focus will be on financial reporting, group consolidations, and implementing robust financial controls.

The Role
As Interim Financial Controller, you will:

  • Lead and manage a team of 5 finance professionals, overseeing their development and ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.
  • Take ownership of group consolidations and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting in line with IFRS standards.
  • Strengthen financial controls, ensuring the scalability and resilience of the finance processes as the business continues to expand.
  • Oversee month-end close and internal reporting processes, providing high-quality insights for senior stakeholders and PE investors.
  • Coordinate and manage the relationship with external auditors, ensuring compliance and the successful completion of audits.
  • Support the business through complex financial cycles, including the integration of newly acquired businesses and the entry into new international markets.
  • Lead the implementation of best-in-class finance procedures, continuously driving improvements to support the company's rapid growth.

Your Profile
You will ideally have:

  • A formal accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, CA).
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting and group consolidations within a fast-growing, complex business.
  • A strong technical background in IFRS and financial controls, with previous experience in a PE-backed or acquisitive environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a finance team, driving performance and ensuring high standards.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, particularly in working with private equity investors and senior leadership teams.
  • Experience in managing financial processes during periods of rapid growth and international expansion would be highly advantageous.
