Harmonic are delighted to be working with one of the world's fastest growing payments fintech scale-ups in their search for a Finance Manager to join the team in London. Driven by their mission to make mobile money accessible to as many people across the world as they can, their product is now facilitating hundreds of millions of transactions a year, enabling emerging markets to access digital finance at a click of a button.

Their revolutionary product has received the backing from top Venture Capital firms that have a track record of early investments into some of the biggest Tech success stories - including Slack, Twitter & Airbnb. With continued international expansion, they are looking for a Finance Manager to lead the financial reporting and tax compliance for UK entity which makes up a significant portion of the business' annual revenue.

The Role

  • Manage and maintain the UK entity balance sheet and income statement
  • Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead our UK entity audits, serving as primary point of contact for auditors and delivering from planning through to signing.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to the management team.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
  • Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency in financial reporting practices
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the UK entities for financial reporting and tax related inquiries from internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to complete tax filings accurately and on time.
  • Handle all aspects of tax reporting, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Continuously review and enhance financial reporting processes, seeking opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and automation tools to optimize financial data analysis and reporting.

What we need to see (essential):

  • Minimum 3 years PQE (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience in financial reporting in tax compliance
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and tax filings.

What we'd like to see (bonus experience):

  • Experience with NetSuite is desirable
  • Experience working with big data and using data visualisation tools
