We now have a superb career opportunity for a technically proficient Service Charge Accounts Team Leader to manage our team of client accountants based at our Hoddesdon Head Office.

What will you be doing?

Our Service Charge Accounts Team Leader has oversight of the team and processes. This includes day to day management of the team, as well as the workload. Ensuring all KPI's are met, and training and coaching the team to deliver an accurate and efficient service. This role is suitable for an experienced service charge accountant with people management experience and strong use and understanding of excel, proficient in data analysis to direct the workflow for maximum efficiency and to reduce bottlenecks.

  • Ensure the teams KPI's are met
  • Carry out weekly team meetings, 1-2-1's & appraisals at required intervals
  • Monitor and report on the teams Time & Attendance and staffing available on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports for managers meeting on workload position
  • Ensure that training is carried out and the competency matrix updated to reflect the progress
  • Offer an escalation path to assist internal and external customers with complex queries/problems & train/coach staff members on the steps to be taken to continue their development
  • Achieve corporate revenue targets

What are we looking for?

  • Prior experience in service charge accounting as well as previous team leader experience.
  • High level of attention to detail & strong time management skills required. Prior experience of people management, target monitoring & process oversight
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide a consistent high level of customer service, to both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to make decisions, both independently and collaboratively, based on reasoned arguments and supported by evidence.
  • Ability to confidently use Microsoft Word and Outlook; and Excel to Intermediate Level
  • Financial qualification (i.e AAT/ACCA/CIMA) is preferred
  • Member level of ‘The Property Institute' formerly IRPM (Institute of Residential Property Managers) is preferred
