What you'll do:
- Assisting the procurement team in analysing market trends and identifying potential suppliers.
- Conducting research and evaluations to determine the best suppliers and negotiate favourable terms.
- Managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of products.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as logistics and sales, to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Monitoring inventory levels and implementing strategies to optimise stock levels and minimise shortages.
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and market conditions to identify potential opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the procurement department.
What we're looking for:
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
