With a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance, we are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team during this exciting phase of expansion. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of a thriving organisation. Alongside this, we are looking for someone who has experience in team management as you will have 3 direct reports who you will guide through demanding deadlines, provide support and development suited to each individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely updates on any changes to deliverables, ensuring sufficient time for adoption.
- Continuously assess processes for efficiency and relevance.
- Assist in delivering accurate divisional and group reporting and analysis.
- Review and approve monthly balance sheet commentary, analysing trends.
- Approve monthly risks and opportunities assessments.
- Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring agreement on necessary adjustments.
- Manage the preparation of year-end audit packs and coordinate with auditors to meet deliverables.
- Supply all required information to Group for statutory reporting and review draft statutory accounts.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing necessary information and analysis.
- Enhance the timeliness, content, and accuracy of both financial and management reporting.
Requirements:
- Previous people management of a minimum of 2 years is essential.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Excel skill at advanced level
- Questions and where appropriate challenges the status quo to ensure continuous improvement.
- Able to demonstrate flexibility by adapting work in line with changing priorities.
- Knowledge of Sage 200 an advantage
