Data Engineer – Azure – Surbiton, Surrey - £70,000

A highly successful, global business with offices based in the US, Europe and Asia are looking for a capable Data Engineer with Azure experience to join their larger IT team. This is a brilliant opportunity to join an established business at an exciting time; they have just migrated over to modern data architecture within the Microsoft Cloud (Azure) and need a skilled and enthusiastic Data Engineer to support their on-going innovation and development.

As the Data Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and handling scalable data pipelines, assuring data quality, and maximizing data processing performance within various data integration solutions. You will also work closely with the wider IT team such as data analysts, and software developers, to provide them with the data they need to perform their job functions, and understand the nature of the data that they need you to pull in.

The ideal candidate will have the following relevant experience:

Proficiency in SQL and other data query languages

Strong data management foundation and specialized skills in Azure cloud computing.

Experience with Azure data storage solutions, such as Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB , Azure Data Lake

Experience with data integration tools to include Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks

Experience in designing and hands-on development in cloud-based analytics solutions.

Designing and building of data pipelines using API ingestion

Knowledge of Microsoft BI Stack (SSRS/SSAS/SSIS) is desirable.

The salary on offer for this role is £60,000 - £70,000 plus benefits including:
