Role Overview:

The Operations Director will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire operational function of the business. This includes the management of plant and machinery, logistics, and ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management within the plant hire or construction industry, and a proven ability to lead teams and optimise processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations, including the management of the plant hire fleet, logistics, and equipment maintenance, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead, develop, and motivate a dedicated team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to the highest health and safety standards, minimising risks and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring timely and reliable service that meets and exceeds their expectations.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage operational budgets, drive cost efficiencies, and monitor financial performance to meet business targets.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs to measure operational effectiveness, making data-driven decisions to improve processes.
