SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER
£800 - £1000 per day (Inside IR35)
6-month contract
Location: London (2 days per week in the office)
Our client is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to join their team during an exciting period of change and transition. This role offers the opportunity to lead on Digital, Data & Technology within a procurement team that is optimised for cost and leveraging modern cloud-only technologies. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop and manage a pipeline of procurement projects, provide comprehensive advice and insights, and take ownership of key supplier relationships.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for delivering all Digital, Data & Technology related procurements in line with the company's vision and strategy. You will ensure procurements are in line with our policies, processes and Public Procurement Regulations. You will also support effective Supplier Management alongside the central and business Supplier Relationship Management teams. Your role will involve working directly with the Process & Performance Manager to ensure reporting are provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure commercial outcomes delivered across DDaT categories are optimal for the company in a compliant and consistent manner
- Develop and manage a pipeline of procurement projects covering all spend through a Category Management Structure
- Establish and roll out effective category strategies that align to priorities
- Provide comprehensive advice, insights, guidance on best practice procurement linked to strong market intelligence
- Make judgements on supply market capability to deliver requirements and develop alternative strategies if needed
- Ensure delivery of major tender processes meets business needs, identifies cost savings and value adding initiatives
What you bring:
As the ideal candidate for the Senior Procurement Manager position, you bring proven experience in managing commercial and procurement teams in large complex organisations. You have a track record of delivering significant procurement benefits including value for money and risk mitigation. Your knowledge of Public Sector Procurement regulations is extensive, as is your experience in contract and supplier relationship management. You possess comprehensive knowledge of procurement concepts, processes, techniques including supply chain management, TPRM, Total Cost Modelling, supplier performance metrics, risk management and supplier relationships.
- Demonstrable evidence of managing commercial and procurement teams in large complex organisations
- Proven procurement experience and relevant market knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of Public Sector Procurement and its regulations
- Contract and supplier relationship management skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement concepts, processes and techniques
- Proven strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
