HRIS Specialist

You will provide comprehensive functional support on Workday to subject matter experts within the People Team, while collaborating with the business to ensure these functions are fully supported.

Acting as the subject matter expert on Workday developments, you will keep the business and the People Team up to date with the latest releases and changes. Additionally, you will work closely with the team to maintain high-quality and accurate People data within the system, driving efficiencies through Workday where necessary.

You will also manage requests for information, reports, and general queries from employees, line and group management, and the broader People team, ensuring responses are secure, accurate, and timely. In this role, you will support the global implementation of new Workday modules and products across all functional area.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be the first point of contact for all Workday enquiries, supporting the System Owner by being the go-to person for data and operational improvement advice.
  • Regularly gathering requirements from key stakeholders throughout the business on the functional areas within Workday and translate to actionable solutions for system developments and improvement.
  • Configure and customise these functional areas within Workday to meet the global business needs, within the change governance framework.
  • Assuring quality and testing of these changes prior to their release and support the business areas and People teams with new developments and functionality.
  • Stay current with Workday updates, releases and industry trends. Identify opportunities for system optimisation and process improvement, work with stakeholders and SMEs to implement enhancements as needed. Be proactive in reviewing and implementing bi-annual Workday releases.
  • Building and optimising business dashboard reporting, analysing the data, highlighting key areas and trends for discussion, and working with senior People Team Leaders and the wider People team to improve insights into people data and help focus activity on areas within the business.
  • Provide stakeholder communication and support ensuring all parties understand changes, developments and improvements being implemented.
  • At all times be aware of and responsible for information and data security, ensuring data is provided only to authorised individuals, in a secure manner.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualified by experience level.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, or related field.
  • CIPD.
  • IT, BIS, BIT or data management qualification.

Experience

  • HR Systems experience.
  • Report generation and data manipulation.
  • People data / MI reporting.
  • Workday Experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of creating and analysing People metrics is desirable.
