SANZA Teaching Agency are seeking a special needs teaching assistant to work in their sixth form. The role is to start ASAP and is full-time.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The school caters to students aged from Reception to Year 14 who have moderate to severe and complex learning difficulties as a primary need or as a dual diagnosis to their medical, sensory and/or physical needs.???

ABOUT YOU
The school are seeking a strong, confident and caring teaching assistant who has a keen interest in making a difference to lives of young people. The ideal candidate will:
- Be willing to work with challenging behaviour?
- Being flexible and willing to take on all challenges?
- Have experience in a school environment, ideally in a special needs setting
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
- Provide dedicated support in all academic classes, helping the student access learning materials and fully engage in discussions and activities.?
- Collaborate with subject teachers to adapt lesson materials and ensure they are accessible to the visually impaired student.?
- Assist the student during mobility transitions within the school premises, ensuring their safety and confidence.?
- Encourage social interaction and facilitate the student's involvement in extracurricular activities and events.?
- Work closely with the school's inclusion team to implement individualized strategies for the student's educational and personal development.?
