Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer to join the Electric Vehicle (EV) solutions team on a full time and fixed term contract basis (2 years). This role is being offered on a hybrid basis which is a combination of working from home and attending the office. As an EV solutions project support officer, you will work closely with the Project Manager and the Head of Major Infrastructure to progress the LEVI project in accordance with Council strategy, policy and systems.

You will manage the EV inbox, being the first point of contact for stakeholders and co-ordinating responses. You will support the project manager in managing the charge point operator contract and any associated contracts with necessary bodies, consultants etc. You will assist with the identification of suitable locations for charging infrastructure deployment, commissioning and interpreting of analytic data.

As an EV solutions project support officer, you will support the project manager with production and maintenance of project documentation, keeping logs and registers up to date (Communications Plan / Risks / Issues / Benefits / Equality Analysis etc). You will support consultation with residents and businesses. Work closely with consultation lead and communications team to ensure consistent messaging throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Although this post will predominantly be working from home, the successful candidate will be expected to attend the Civic centre, weekly and as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, previous experience of working in a similar role or within a project support / management environment will be desirable but not essential. It is vital that you can build strong and meaningful relationships and communicate effectively as you will be dealing with people from different backgrounds as well as variety of stakeholders and external agencies. Ability to challenge constructively, effectively listen and influence immediate peer group and managers will be essential for this role.This role will suit a proactive self-starter who is able to work independently and on own initiative, as well as be able to work well in a team as required.

Full and clean driving license will be desirable but not essential.

It is essential that you have intermediate MS excel knowledge and you are proficient in the use of various Microsoft packages.
