Care Assistant - Shetland Island

My client is seeking dedicated Care Workers to join our team in Shetland, Scotland. Your role will be crucial in providing compassionate care and support to our service users, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life.

Main Duties:
As a Care Worker, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting service users with personal and intimate care.
  • Helping service users access and use any required aids and personal equipment.
  • Promoting the mental and physical activity of service users as detailed in individual care plans.
  • Maintaining the physical environment of service users to a high standard.
  • Ensuring that service users' clothing and personal effects are personalised and well-maintained.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the nutritional needs of service users in line with their care plan.
  • Responding to emergency bells, the door, and telephone, and greeting visitors professionally.
  • Working on a rota basis, including weekends and evenings.
  • Complying with all Health and Safety requirements, including risk assessments.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including weekends and evenings.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and service user well-being.

Relocation assistance is available for this role for the duration of the assignment, including travel expenses paid and accommodation provided for successful candidates.
