The Society and College of Radiographers (SOR / COR) are two separate companies operating together to provide service and support for those involved in radiography. Together they comprise the professional body and trade union for those practicing in medical imaging and radiotherapy.

The Society of Radiographers has an exciting opportunity to join our team with a wide remit across the organisation. We are looking for a positive experienced administrator to support a key project for the next 12 months, that will have a significant impact on the NHS radiography workforce.

The Role

The SOR is working in partnership with the NHS England Workforce Training & Education directorate on the ongoing education reform priorities in Allied Health Professions to support the demands the NHS will face in the next 10 years. This far-reaching project has a focus on deployment, development and retention of staff across the NHS, and the Society and College of Radiographers will be working with them on the Diagnostic and Therapeutic radiography professions.

Working with a Project Manager, this role will

  • Provide high quality administrative support across all workstreams of the project.
  • Co-ordinate regular programme update meetings creating and distributing agendas, papers and minute taking.
  • Co-ordinate a shared online resource library, and update reporting spreadsheets.
  • Monitor and manage project email communications and book meetings across calendars.
  • Prepare and edit documents and papers associated with the project.

Who we are looking for

  • The successful candidate will have demonstrable successful experience of project administration, meetings management and accurate and timely minute taking.
  • Collaborative working skills across matrix teams with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships internally and externally is a key requirement.
  • Drafting and accurately formatting policy and project documents and being able to work confidently with a survey tool and data sets will be needed.
  • The successful candidates will have excellent IT skills and be comfortable working remotely on video calls, and editing online files.

What you need to know

Location: Hybrid working (HQ/Home) or Homeworking.
Salary: Grade A - £30,822 per annum FTE (pro rata 0.4FTE)
London Allowance - £6,246 FTE per annum (HQ / Hybrid) - (pro-rata 0.4 FTE)
Benefits include 37 days annual leave plus bank holidays, final salary pension scheme, significant wellbeing benefits and access to shopping discount platform.
Contract: Fixed Term
Hours: 21 hours per week over 2 days
