Exhibition Sales Executive

Our client is looking for a creative, passionate, and driven person to join their sales team and help expand a growing portfolio of international business events. They require a candidate who thrives on developing new business opportunities across multiple different sectors and is comfortable speaking with senior decision-makers from the largest technology, chemicals, materials and energy suppliers and manufacturers worldwide supporting sustainability, climate and an eco-friendly future.

  • Based in Guildford
  • £28,000 - £35,000 salary
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Company evens
  • OTE £60,000 YEAR 1 - future earnings likely be in the region of £75,000-100,000+ and beyond; uncapped competitive commission package paid monthly + bonuses.

Job Description:

  • Working on a number of international B2B exhibitions in new emerging sustainability, next generation technology, smart materials & green recovery after emerging from the pandemic
  • Building and managing a constantly developing list of relevant leads of potential exhibiting companies increasing revenue through selling exhibition space and sponsorship
  • Driving a consistent weekly sales campaign, working toward the annual event sales target.
  • Managing and updating company CRM system
  • Introducing and pitching the exhibition to senior decision-makers from SMEs to global corporations through cold calling, as well as to warm existing clients
  • Managing new and existing exhibitors to help them achieve maximum ROI from events.
  • Working with internal teams including marketing and operations for the collective delivery of a successful event

Person Specification:

  • Experience in a telephone-based or face-to-face commercial sales role.
  • Candidates should have B2B sales experience, ideal industry sectors are: - hydrogen, renewable energy, chemicals or similar - although professional, motivated and driven candidates from a telemarketing background will be considered
  • Entrepreneurial, driven, extremely persuasive, and a people person who is sensitive to cultural differences, having strong communication (written, verbal, email) and team-working skills.
  • Self-motivated and incredibly well organized, having both the initiative and the ability to work independently and manage their own workload.
  • Resilient and comfortable talking with senior decision-makers, company CEOs and Presidents, being adaptable and flexible enough to utilize multiple sales approaches to close business.
  • Strong MS-based IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) required, and adept in using social media (such as LinkedIn and Xing) to connect with relevant prospects.

Additional Information:

  • Basic salary, ideally £28-35,000 negotiable depending on experience
  • OTE £60,000 YEAR 1 - future earnings likely be in the region of £75,000-100,000+ and beyond; uncapped competitive commission package paid monthly + bonuses.
