We are seeking a dedicated, Part time, Art Teacher to join our team, teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ideal candidate will be a graduate with qualified teacher status in Art and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Day to Day of the role:
- Delivering engaging Art lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, in line with the National Curriculum.
- Developing and utilising a range of teaching resources to enhance student learning.
- Employing effective behaviour management strategies to maintain high standards of discipline and achievement.
- Planning and organising lessons with clear objectives to ensure effective learning.
- Utilising ICT and new technologies, including Smartboards, to promote interactive learning.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the science department's resources.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate with qualified teacher status for Art.
- Experience in successfully teaching Art across Key Stages.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and Art disciplines.
- Good ICT skills and a willingness to use new technologies in teaching.
- Excellent organisational and personal management skills.
- Ability to create new teaching resources and use initiative to enhance learning.
- Effective time-management and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of health and safety issues in a classroom setting.
- Desirable: Awareness of current issues and developments in Art education, including changes to the KS4 specification.
