Supply Chain Technical Lead: We are excited to be recruiting for a Supply Chain Technical Lead to join the Home Claims Supply Team. Reporting to the Claims Supply Chain Manager the successful candidate, will have significant technical buildings claims experience, preferably across one or several key disciplines of Loss Adjusting, Surveying, Drying and Restoration or Subsidence. Vast working experience with Schedules of Rates would be preferable.

As a Supply Chain Technical Lead, you will set technical standards, rate card pricing, audit and analysis across the Home claims supply chain with a specific focus on building repair, surveying, loss adjusting, repair and scope application. You will be the technical and improvement lead for our property damage suppliers, leading organic technical continuous improvement programme across the supply chain whilst providing technical support and referral assistance to the claim's operation, operational and senior leaders. You will also support relationship leads in the management of Ageas suppliers.

Here are some of the accountabilities of the Supply Chain Technical Lead role:

  • Lead on Ageas' preferred repair/replace/reinstatement philosophy and ensure this is followed throughout supply chain.
  • Develop trusted and professional relationships with suppliers to promote Ageas' philosophy.
  • Conducting live audits on repairs being undertaken by the Ageas Building Repair Network suppliers to aid performance management reward mechanisms and supplier governance requirements.
  • Devise, lead and roll out continuous improvement in supply chain.
  • Manage supplier behaviours.
  • Support thematic audits and supplier audits related to home claims.
  • To audit and review the schedules of rates proposed by suppliers where appropriate (Building Repair Networks, glazing suppliers).
  • Responsible for Building Repair Network and technical rate cards.
  • To aid the ongoing development of the buildings validation tool CoreLogic Symbility including the review and agreement of the National Schedule of
  • Rates used within the tool.
  • Responsible for technical relationships across tier 1-3 suppliers.
  • Identify operational risks and reporting requirements.
  • Commercial control of schedules of rates and rate cards. Contribute to the planning and delivery of the claim's strategy
  • Support the management of underperforming suppliers and support the creation of exit and category plans.
  • Ensure fair treatment of customers and adherence to regulatory and industry standards.

To be successful in being considered for the Supply Chain Technical Lead role you will need the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • MCIOB, RICS, CILA or CII qualified preferrable or working towards
  • Significant experience of construction industry methods, standards, and pricing
  • You will have experience of working within an Insurer home claims supply chain and/or experience of working within a home claims supplier in a similar role.
  • Experience in insurance and/or financial services and construction industries.
  • Understanding of principles of insurance and regulation in financial services .
  • Relationship management at all levels.
  • Ability to create written reports that are of a professional standard.
  • Ability to quantify and assess damage and appropriate repair/replace/reinstatement.
  • Multi £m insurance account management experience.
  • Loss Adjusting, Surveying, DR&R field experience (operational and management) desirable.
  • Future scope for line management of field and supply functions
