Are you a HGV Technician looking for a new exciting opportunity? The client I am recruiting for is currently looking for 4 HGV technicians who have the ability to repair and service a fleet of Vehicles to a high standard. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a fresh challenge with a dynamic and rapidly growing company. Ideally you will have time served in both mechanical and electrical maintenance of HGVs.
This opportunity is monday to friday working 10 hour shifts and can offer day and/or night shifts. It is also offering a salary of up to £60,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with HGVs
- Conduct inspections and identify any potential problems or safety concerns
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes
- Follow manufacturer's guidelines and specifications for repairs and maintenance
- Keep accurate records of all work performed
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of HGV systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and equipment for repairs and maintenance
- Welding experience is a plus
- Forklift operation experience is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
