ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT - LISBURN
SALARY: c£30,000 per annum
EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract (12 months)
Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well-established and reputable client based in Lisburn who are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their small but busy finance team on a contractual basis for a period of 12 months.
Reporting to the Accountant, the post holder will manage the accounts to Trial Balance, including the payroll.
Key responsibilities include:
- Purchase ledger and management of supplier accounts
- Sales ledger and sales ledger reports monthly
- Monthly EC Sales return & Intrastat return
- Weekly bank reconciliation
- Monthly wages journal and management of payroll
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Preparation of expense reports and costings
- Intercompany cross charge invoices for the year
- Preparation of year end accounts and audit file
What you'll need to succeed!
- Candidates will have 3 - 5 years accounts experience and a good technical understanding of the accounting function.
- Candidates will have previous industry experience and appreciate a fast-paced working environment
- Candidates will have a strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
