Role Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Complex Care HCA to join our team in Canterbury. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing specialized care, particularly in PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, wound dressing, medication administration, and stoma care. This role involves working closely with patients who require complex care needs, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to patients with complex medical conditions.
- Perform PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, wound dressing, medication administration, and stoma care as required.
- Monitor patients' health and report any changes to the clinical team.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care plans.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Complex Care HCA, ideally within a similar setting.
- Competency in PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, wound dressing, medication administration, and stoma care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Valid certification and qualifications relevant to healthcare practice.
