A leading global consultancy is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take on a role as part of a major project team based onsite in Plymouth.

You will be required to work on-site 4 days a week, with a shorter day on Friday where you can work from home. Reasonable expenses for travel to the site and accommodation where required, will be provided.

The role will involve leading and delivering mechanical engineering solutions for delivering a wide range of technical design packages.

  • Lead engineering resources in the delivery of one or more technical design packages
  • Delivery of engineering solutions for large-scale packages of work
  • Undertake design following relevant design standards and codes
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions
  • Production of all technical deliverables including client presentation and engagement
  • Preparation of briefs, scopes of work, and development of fee/bid proposals
  • Manage time and budgets for key project milestones and programmes
  • Review and verification of design practices and technical solutions as part of a wider team
  • Attendance at internal and external coordination, progress and design review meetings

The successful candidate will have Dockyard or MOD design experience and the appropriate qualifications in Building Services and Mechanical Engineering.
