With a turnover of £80m the financial accountant role supports the Finance Manager. The role may suit a part qualified accountant seeking a move from practice or industry.
The role includes;
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate financial data.
VAT Returns:
- Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and manage any queries related to VAT.
- Keep up to date with changes in VAT legislation.
Audit and Compliance:
- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Support the implementation of financial controls and procedures.
