Our client based in Westhill is currently recruiting for a Permanent Buyer.

This position also serves as the primary contact for existing customers, primarily through phone and email, to enhance sales by improving customer satisfaction and adding value to the buying experience. Additionally, the role involves identifying and implementing new supply chain initiatives to continuously improve overall supply chain efficiency.

Detailed Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms, conditions, pricing, and lead times.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Support, develop, and monitor supplier performance metrics.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Assess and approve new suppliers in accordance with company procedures.
  • Opportunity Development: Manage and develop new opportunities from Global Accounts, aligning purchasing strategies with key customer initiatives and metrics.
  • Customer Contact: Serve as the main contact for RFQs, orders, queries, challenges, and supply chain issues.
  • Quotation Management: Prepare, generate, and follow up on written quotations to secure orders or understand reasons for lost orders.
  • Customer Feedback and Reporting: Provide regular customer feedback and KPIs to the Manager and Global Account Manager.
  • Supply Chain Strategy: Analyze and determine strategies to maintain high customer service levels at the lowest total ownership cost.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and facilitate supplier and customer negotiations or meetings.
  • Market Knowledge: Develop and maintain professional knowledge of market drivers, trends, economic forecasts, supplier base, and competitive intelligence
