The Role

We are looking for an experienced service technician to join their busy team. Working in a close team, you will be responsible for product repairs, communicating with customers and helping the world-wide service network serve their global customer base, all while looking for opportunities to improve product reliability.

  • Repairing a portfolio of products by evaluating units, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs to a component level and testing devices.
  • Ensuring effective turnaround of products through the department.
  • Putting together cost estimates for repairs.
  • Assisting customers and external service partners with remote diagnosis and repair advice via email and telephone.
  • Liaising with engineers and manufacturing in a closed-loop feedback system to improve product reliability.
  • Creating service documentation to support the Global Service Network.
  • Carrying out workshop operations such as unit transfers and booking in spare parts.
  • Continually working to improve our systems and processes to deliver the above.

About You

  • Min. 2 years electronics repair and servicing experience.
  • Knowledge of fault-finding electrical systems to a component level.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience using test equipment such as signal analysers and oscilloscopes.
  • A polite and helpful phone and email manner.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiastic outlook.
  • Collaborative personality, working well as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise and manage own workload.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Desirable: Analogue and digital audio electronics experience. Interest in music/audio and experience with music technology products and digital audio workstations.

Salary DOE £25-40k.
