Finance Manager

Join our client's dynamic team as a Finance Manager and play a vital role in handling accounts payable and receivable transactions, bookkeeping, and balance sheets. As the primary person responsible for all day-to-day financial matters, you will ensure the smooth running of the office and office facilities. This is a key position for our client's business.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilise Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and our in-house sales ordering programme (ODOO).
  • Work with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers, and journals.
  • Control credit and chase debt for accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, debt collection, and issuing credits.
  • Manage accounts payable, including purchase ordering, supplier payments, remittances, and matching purchase orders.
  • Conduct reconciliations of client accounts, credit card statements, bank statements, and direct debits.
  • Ensure payment accuracy by calculating and checking payment amounts and records.
  • Efficiently procure foreign currencies.
  • Review and investigate supplier statements.
  • Process invoices and ensure accurate pricing, VAT, and general ledger coding.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Assist with the general ledger and credit card reconciliations.
  • Handle internal and external inquiries.
  • Update and maintain customer records.
  • Manage the invoice factoring process and records.

Other Duties:

  • Audit purchasing requests and place approved orders.
  • Perform day-to-day office administrative activities.
  • Sort incoming and outgoing mail and address any queries.
  • Take staff meetings and minutes when necessary.
  • Meet with suppliers to discuss the best prices.
  • Manage delivery notes for customer orders and input customer orders.
  • Handle filing and maintain staff files.
  • Adhere to unit rules and regulations.
  • Promote and practise health and safety instructions and regulations.
  • Comply with all statutory requirements.
  • Embrace, demonstrate, and promote good customer service.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment.
  • Undertake personal development in line with company processes.

Qualifications:

  • AAT Level 2
  • Sage 50 Accounts
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
