Overview
As a Wintel Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Windows-based live systems within a secure environment. Your expertise in Wintel technologies and active DV clearance will be crucial to the success of this role.
Responsibilities
- System Maintenance and Support: Provide 3rd line support for Windows-based live systems, ensuring their stability and availability.
- PKI (Public Key Infrastructure): Understand and manage PKI components within the environment.
- Network Understanding: Collaborate with network teams to troubleshoot and optimise system performance.
- DV Clearance: Maintain active DV clearance to work on sensitive projects.
Essential Skills
- 3rd Line Support Experience: Proven track record in providing advanced technical support.
- PKI Knowledge: Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure concepts.
- Network Understanding: Basic understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting.
- DV Clearance: Active DV clearance is mandatory.
Desirable Skills
- Microsoft Windows Server: Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016 or later.
- Linux Knowledge: Familiarity with Linux operating systems (nice to have).
- Thin Client Solutions: Understanding of thin client technologies.
