Junior Firmware Engineer – Gloucestershire - £30,000 - £40,000 pa
A leading electronics manufacturer are looking for a Junior Firmware Engineer to join their R&D team to develop leading security and defence technology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop & implement real-time embedded firmware for ARM Microcontrollers & FPGA Systems
- Develop software for algorithm simulation and implementation
- Software test & verification
- FPGA SoC design & implementation
- Work in a multi-disciplined engineering team on hardware test & debugging
Key Skills/Experience:
- 2:1 Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline
- Strong knowledge of Embedded Software/Firmware development (C/C++)
- Experience/Knowledge of VHDL
- Strong understanding of signal processing/algorithms
- Microcontrollers & Peripherals
Any mix of the following is nice to have/non-essential:
- Software test & verification
- Xilinx FPGAs/Tool chains
- RTOS
- Embedded Linux
- Modelling languages (MATLAB)
